Plasma screen displays and accessories
Wedgwood offer a large plasma screen range (also known as PDP's or Plasma Display Panels)
from most leading brand manufacturers: LG, NEC, Infinite,
Panasonic, Philips, Pioneer, Samsung and Sony.
A commercial plasma screen is designed for corporate use and usually does not include a TV tuner (for
terrestrial TV and Teletext) or a TV aerial socket. Most plasma screens
do not include speakers, stand nor wall mount in the basic price, these being
optional extras. A plasma TV is supplied with TV tuner, aerial socket, built-in
speakers and usually a desktop stand as well.

Please note that whilst plasma screens are packaged carefully for
delivery, occasionally they can arrive with the glass screen broken.
Plasma screens must be inspected for visual damage BEFORE
accepting delivery from a courier, for once you sign for a screen, you
are accepting delivery in good condition, and we would not be able to
exchange your damaged screen for you, nor accept its return. Please do
not book installation before goods have arrived and been fully tested as
we are not liable for claims for late deliveries nor engineers costs. FREE plasma guide

Plasma screens from any manufacturer can be connected to a computer and video
recorder/TV/satellite system. If, for example, you connect the plasma screen to a
video recorder and a computer, you can then use the remote control to switch between the
two as required. This can be very useful for presentations, training and for staff
induction's, where you need to present using PowerPoint but also show a video in the
middle. More plasma screen information.
Plasma screen V plasma TV A plasma screen is designed
for corporate use and usually does not include a TV tuner (for terrestrial TV and
Teletext) or a TV aerial socket. Most plasma screens do not
include speakers or any sort of stand in the basic price. A plasma TV is
supplied with the TV tuner, aerial socket, built-in speakers and usually a desktop stand
as well.
HD Ready is the logo used to describe plasma TV that is ready to receive HD (high
definition) broadcasting signal. HD Ready TV has an HDMI input (high definition
multimedia interface) for digital sound and picture connection.
LCD monitors are very thin flat screen computer monitors. They range from around 15 to 80 inches in size. Plasma screens use a
different technology and can therefore have sizes up to 103 inches.
Video walls are created by mounting either plasma screens or large LCD monitors
into a video wall. Some manufacturers' screens require the use of video wall
mount brackets so that replacement screens can be slotted in and out without dismantling
the wall. Other manufacturers make use of normal flat wall plasma brackets which are
daisy chained together with cabling. It is best to use a reputable specialist
installation company who will assemble, sort out cabling for you and ensure that the
screens "talk to each other" . Images can be displayed to suit your
requirements, either as one image across 4 screens, 9 screens, 12 screens or 16 screens,
or displaying separate images on different screens in a video
wall.
